Colten Biro, PhD, P&L, is an award-winning instructor who teaches courses in British literature, children’s literature, new media studies, and genre studies. His research investigates the political formation of the future citizen-subject during the long-nineteenth century by exploring the complex influences of political ideology & practice on the works of popular fiction and children’s literature. Professor Biro’s recent work has appeared in such venues as The Early Children’s Literature & Culture Chronicle, Jesuit Higher Education: A Journal, The Children’s Literature Association Quarterly, and The Keats-Shelley Journal.
