Giving Societies

D&E’s giving societies recognize donors whose support builds the foundation of our college.

The transformative educational experience that is uniquely D&E would not be possible without the leadership contributions that provide countless opportunities for our students.

1904 Society

Alumni, parents, faculty, staff and friends whose annual contributions total $1,000 or more are recognized as 1904 Society members. Some of the benefits of membership include custom designed neckties, scarves and lapel pins, Inner Circle (semi-annual newsletter) and invitations to special events. The annual 1904 Society Gala, sponsored by business partners and individuals, features our student leaders and provides them with the opportunity to thank our leadership donors personally. The current list of 1904 Society members is available here.

GOLD

(Graduates Of the Last Decade) are eligible for 1904 Society membership with annual gifts of $250 allowing them to build toward the $1,000 level after their 10 year reunion.

Heritage Society

Those who have designated Davis & Elkins College as a beneficiary in their estate plans are recognized as members of the Heritage Society. They also receive many of the 1904 Society membership benefits such as the Inner Circle and invitations to special events including the annual 1904 Society Gala. Covid-19 update

D&E’s primary goal in our response to COVID-19 is the health of that community as we continue this institution’s mission of high standards of education, and to prepare and inspire students for success and thoughtful engagement in the world. Read more in our Guide for Returning to Campus.
