Davis & Elkins College is just a short walk from downtown Elkins, a quaint community located in the heart of West Virginia’s Mountain Highlands.

Elkins is home to numerous unique shops, diverse dining and a vibrant arts community that includes The Arts Center, Augusta Heritage Center, The Old Brick Playhouse and the Mountain Arts District collaborative. It’s no wonder Elkins was listed as one of the 100 Best Small Arts Communities in the U.S., a West Virginia Certified Arts Community, a Preserve America Community and a Small Town Gem by the WV Department of Commerce.  

With its population of 7,000, Elkins provides the best of both worlds. Its small size makes it friendly and safe, but its location allows for exciting diversions and business opportunities not normally found in small towns.
