Former students of Alderson Broaddus (AB) University were recognized during Baccalaureate Services and Commencement Events at Davis & Elkins College last weekend. Transferring graduates were encouraged to participate in all weekend activities pertaining to their respective degrees.
AB transfers Paige Campbell, Alexis Hare, Tiffany King, Tia Kisamore, Alexis Noel and Jessica Rexrode were recognized for completion of Associate and Bachelor of Science degrees, respectively, in fields of Nursing, Exercise Science and Biology. Students in Nursing were also invited to the Nurses’ Pinning Ceremony on Friday, May 10, to be presented with roses, pins, and a candlelit Florence Nightingale pledge.
“While we regret the reason the former AB students enrolled in D&E, we have been very pleased to welcome them as Senators,” says Davis & Elkins College President Chris A. Wood. “At Commencement, it was important to us that we recognize them and acknowledge both institutions that enabled them to earn their collegiate degrees. As one of these graduates said on social media, ‘Once a Battler and always a Senator.’”
Davis & Elkins College remains committed to providing an education that focuses on developing critical thinkers and lifelong learners. The College recognizes and celebrates the academic achievements of the Class of 2024.
