The Davis & Elkins College Theatre Department will host open auditions for its spring productions at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1 in Myles Center for the Arts Harper-McNeeley Auditorium. Parts are available for actors, singers, dancers and musicians as well as designers and backstage crew.

Everyone auditioning will be asked to perform a short monologue of 30-60 seconds. Those interested in a singing role will be asked to sing part of a song, 30-60 seconds, acapella or with piano accompaniment. Copies of monologues and songs will be available or those auditioning may bring their own. It is asked that those participating wear a mask when not performing regardless of vaccination status.

Spring productions scheduled are: a staged reading to honor the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Jan. 17, “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” on Feb. 18-20 and “Failure: A Love Story” on April 21-23.
