The Davis & Elkins College online RN-to-BSN program has been ranked No. 1 in West Virginia by the nursing advocacy organization RegisteredNursing.org. The organization is made up of nurses with the mission of promoting excellence in nursing by enabling future and current nurses with the education and employment resources they need to succeed.

To assess the rankings, RegisteredNursing.org uses institutional data including accreditation, tuition and fees, acceptance rate and graduation rate, as well as how a program supports students during school, toward licensure and beyond.

“I’m thrilled about this top ranking,” said Dr. Huixin Wu, chair of the D&E Division of Nursing. “All of our experienced and dedicated nursing faculty and staff made this happen. We understand the challenges for RNs to go back to school and get their BSN degrees. Our 100% online RN-to-BSN program is specially designed for them to experience this meaningful journey smoothly. We are proud to provide quality nursing education to our nursing students in the Mountain State and around the country.”

RegisteredNursing.org emphasizes that ADN and diploma-holding RNs can increase their earning potential and open themselves up to more employment opportunities by returning to school to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing.

Designed for working RNs, the Davis & Elkins RN-BSN Degree Completion Program offers busy professionals a convenient and efficient way to further their education. All classes are offered online in three consecutive 16-week rotations. Each rotation is divided into two, eight-week modules with six or seven credits offered per module session. Students may enter the program in January and August of each year.

The Davis & Elkins College Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN-BSN) program, delivered via distance education, is accredited by the National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA).

Davis & Elkins also offers traditional study toward an Associate in Science, with an LPN to ASN option, and an accelerated three-year or four-year Bachelor of Science in nursing.
