Elkins – Although the Christmas season hasn’t officially arrived, WCDE 89.9FM Elkins Air1 is hoping to spread some cheer with 24/7 Christmas music. The special programming is in progress.
“We all know 2020 has be a rough year for all of us, and it seems we need a little Christmas …. right this very minute,” said WCDE General Manager Dick McGraw. “We hope this will raise spirits and bring back warm memories.”
Selections from West Virginia’s largest Christmas music library represent nearly 1,500 songs from many artists and musical styles.
Christmas music around the clock has been a tradition at WCDE, dating back to 2011. Programming is being presented as a gift to the Elkins community.
The 260-watt contemporary Christian music format station broadcasts from the campus of Davis & Elkins College and can be heard in Elkins, Beverly, Valley Bend, Mill Creek and Huttonsville.
