Experience

Throughout her more than 24 years in education, Carol has worked as a middle school teacher, middle and high school guidance counselor and supported learning instructor. During her time as a guidance counselor, Carol worked specifically with special education students. Her experience as a teacher and counselor helped prepare her for working with students on a one-on-one basis who are trying to achieve their goal of a college degree, giving her the patience to listen to students and help them work through issues that surface in their lives.

Activities

In 2013, Carol attended the Association on Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD) Conference titled “Challenging and Changing Disability Perspectives.” AHEAD is an organization that focuses on meeting the higher education needs of persons with disabilities.
