The FirstEnergy Foundation is continuing its support to Davis & Elkins College by presenting a $5,000 grant award. Funded solely by FirstEnergy, the Foundation seeks to strengthen the social and economic fabric of the communities they serve.

Since 2016, the Foundation has approved grants for the College to assist in funding a variety of projects that benefit the campus community and the community at-large.

“We greatly appreciate the support FirstEnergy Foundation provides to Davis & Elkins College, and more importantly, to our students,” said Davis & Elkins College President Chris A. Wood. “Their investment in the future of our students is an investment in the next generation of leaders in our community.”

The College’s initiatives align with the FirstEnergy Foundation’s focus on organizations within their service area that support priorities to help improve the vitality of communities, promote local and regional economic development, and advance an educated workforce.
