Davis & Elkins College Director of Career Services Christopher Jones will be among presenters at the Texas Association of Diversity Officers In Higher Education (TADOHE) Fall Summit Thursday, Oct. 14. During his workshop, titled “What’s the Borg Got to Do With It: Higher Education & Assimilation Culture?”, Jones will present his research on assimilation culture in higher education.

TADOHE is exclusively for charitable, scientific and educational purposes. The organization specifically provides resources and support for Texas college and university leaders who want to pursue institutional diversity-related policies, goals, and strategies regarding students, faculty, staff and administrators in accordance with the mission of the National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education (NADOHE).

Jones has a distinguished background in Diversity Equity & Inclusion, receiving the director of NSA’s highest EEO & Diversity award, recognition from the National Association of Public Administrators for his contributions on Equity in Hiring and a 2019 Inclusive Excellence Champion Institute graduate. Jones currently chairs Davis & Elkins College’s Presidential Initiative on Diversity Equity & Inclusion.
