Eight juniors in the Davis & Elkins College Upward Bound programs were selected to participate in the West Virginia TRIO Association’s 22nd Annual Student Leadership Conference, Feb. 10-12. The students will attend various leadership workshops with other TRIO students from West Virginia and other states. All juniors in the Upward Bound programs from Barbour, Pendleton, Pocahontas, Randolph and Tucker counties had the opportunity to apply. WV TRIO is a state association comprised of multiple institutions, each hosting various TRIO Programs across the Mountain State, which provides a forum for communication, advocacy and networking opportunities for TRIO professionals. The Davis & Elkins College Upward Bound programs are funded by two Title IV grants from the U.S. Department of Education totaling $768,419. Project services are free to eligible students.
