Elkins, WV – In 2019, Davis & Elkins College and Marshall University partnered to provide an early admissions pathway for D&E students to enter into the Marshall University School of Pharmacy. The partnership allows for at least two students who meet requirements set forth in the agreement to be admitted to Marshall University School of Pharmacy after their Junior year. This early admissions pathway allows students to complete their Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees in seven years instead of the traditional eight.

Marshall University continues to focus on expanding opportunities for students to continue their higher education journey while developing deeper collaborations with other institutions. One of those initiatives is the expansion of the pre-pharmacy pathway at D&E College. Students who are admitted to the program have the opportunity to receive an additional $2,000 scholarship toward the program’s costs.

Dr. Michelle Mabry, Professor of Biology and Chair of the Biology and Environmental Science Department at D&E, states “this new Academic Partnership Program Scholarship from MUSOP will make the completion of the bachelor’s degree from D&E and the Pharm.D. degree from Marshall even easier financially. It’s a great opportunity for our students.”
