Bachelor of Science in Marketing

The bachelor’s degree in Marketing requires 57 credit hours, including 12 hours of specified marketing courses plus 45 hours of core requirements, including courses in accounting, business, economics, math, management, and marketing.

Minors

The requirements for a minor are 18 credit hours of specified business and marketing courses.

Internship Opportunities

Internships provide opportunities for students to apply knowledge gained in the classroom while making meaningful contributions to the organization for which they work. Students can complete internships during any semester, though most take place over the summer and last about 10 weeks. With guidance from the Director of Career Services & Student Employment, students develop an internship proposal and gain hands-on experience in their field. Internships also include a reflective journal, a final paper, and relevant research.

Independent Studies

Independent Study in Marketing allows students to explore topics that are not part of the regular curriculum. Independent studies require students to work closely with a marketing faculty member.

Coursework, including computerized applications, is designed to promote your understanding of marketing theory and the ability to apply marketing principles in the business environment. Each course allows you to take away valuable lessons in the marketing field and provides a full understanding of the material on a personal and academic level.
