D&E Dining Services strives to provide high-quality food and beverages to satisfy all nutritional needs. Dining Services plays an important role in fostering a sense of community, and we strive to exceed expectations by tailoring programs, services, and dining venues to meet the needs of the students and the entire D&E community.
The Benedum Dining Hall serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner Monday through Friday and brunch and dinner on weekends. You’ll find a great selection, complete with hot entrees, delicious pizza, an endless salad bar, a drinks station, and fresh desserts. Choose what you want and go back for more!
Quality & Variety
Fresh products made on-site provide quality and consistency and are utilized wherever possible. We serve premium-grade Folgers Coffee, Coca-Cola products, and a variety of fruit juices. Locally grown produce, local eggs, and regional food distributors are used when available, providing the freshest and most sustainable meal options.
In addition to the standard menu offerings, the Dining Hall offers regular specials and events, including:

Weekend Brunch
D&E students come together to enjoy conversation over brunch with specialty pancakes and a twice-monthly waffle bar.
Meal Plan Options
Residential Students
If you are a residential student, you have already paid for a meal plan as part of your room-and-board package.
- Freshman residential students are automatically enrolled in the 19-meal plan. You can begin eating in the Dining Room as soon as you have your D&E ID card.
- Upperclassmen who are athletes will be placed in the 19-meal plan during their sport’s season.
- Non-athletes and athletes out of season need to set up a plan by bringing their ID card to the Dining Services Office next to the Dining Room.
Residential students may select from the 19-, 14-, or 10-meal plan. Each plan includes a cash-value credit per semester that may be spent at Cadillac Daddy Café, the Caboose Café, or the C-Store.
