Grow and make a difference in a rewarding healthcare career.
The Division of Nursing at Davis & Elkins College provides a personalized, quality education that prepares graduates to practice as registered nurses and establishes a foundation for lifelong learning and professional development. Whether you are starting your nursing career or advancing it as a working registered nurse (RN), D&E offers a program that fits your life, your schedule, and your goals.
Through D&E’s partnership with Vandalia Health Davis Medical Center, you gain access to state-of-the-art facilities and dynamic, hands-on clinical learning from day one. You’ll also benefit from small class sizes, faculty who know you by name, and clinical partnerships that connect classroom learning to real-world practice.
The curriculum is organized around the QSEN Competencies (Quality and Safety Education for Nurses), ensuring you develop the skills needed to provide safe, patient-centered, evidence-based, collaborative, and technology-informed care. The BSN program holds dual accreditation from the NLN Commission on Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN-CNEA) and the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), ensuring you will meet the highest standards in the profession.
Our Mission
In concert with D&E’s mission to “prepare and inspire students for success and for thoughtful engagement in the world,” the Division of Nursing seeks to provide its students with a personalized quality education designed to prepare its graduates to practice as registered nurses and to provide a foundation for lifelong learning and future professional development.
