One winner will receive a 4-year, full-ride scholarship to Davis & Elkins College, including tuition, room & board! Additional scholarships are awarded ranging from $5,000 to $15,000.
Applications for the 2026 scholarship will reopen on June 12, 2026.

Eligibility
- Scholarship open to all Graduating Class of 2027 WV High School Seniors (Public, Private or Home School)
- Cumulative 3.00 GPA
- Applicants must complete a D&E admissions application.
Application
- Applications accepted through November 15, 2026.
- Application includes a section on activities and volunteer work.
- Applicants will be required to submit an essay of between 500-1,500 words based on the topic: “If you receive this scholarship, how will you pay it forward to the state of West Virginia?”
Selection
- Scholarship finalists will be chosen by a scholarship selection committee based on essay and activities submission. Top admitted candidates will be interviewed.
- Scholarship finalists must apply and be admitted to D&E prior to being selected for an interview.
- Scholarship award winners will be announced December 10, 2026.
