The Division of Nursing is located in Eshleman Science Center.
Students practice skills in two clinical laboratories. A simulation lab equipped with four VitalSim manikins and the National League for Nursing VitalSim Scenarios offers multiple cases to assess and manage patients, identify and prioritize problems, and perform key interventions. State-of-the-art equipment is available to perform various procedures including wound care, IV skills and central line care. Another skills lab houses six non-simulation manikins for basic skills practice. Students also have access to DocuCare, a simulated electronic health record that allows for the practice in documentation of care, and PEPID, an online resource of current information for clinical and drug references ensuring students have the most recent information when caring for patients.
Eshleman Science Center also houses two large computer labs.
In addition to campus facilities, the Division of Nursing maintains working agreements with area health care facilities to provide clinical experience for nursing students. These include, but are not limited to:
- Crestview Manor
- Davis Medical Center
- Elkins Rehabilitation & Care Center
- Mon Health System
- Randolph-Elkins Health Department
