WBOY - Davis & Elkins College students and faculty partnered with the Randolph County Family Resource Network to play Secret Santa for families throughout the community.
Presents were purchased for 26 children, and families stopped by campus to pick up gifts before the college closes for Christmas break. Student Assembly participants spent part of their finals week wrapping gifts and fulfilling Christmas lists.
“We got their wish list, and we farmed that out across the campus, individuals, and different offices, and everything was brought in to the Student Life office and then taken up to the Sigma Phi Epsilon Lodge where the students of Student Assembly wrapped everything,” said Student Affairs Vice President Scott Goddard.
This is the second time the college has been involved with secret Santa and officials say they want to continue. Last year’s Santa visited students at Valley Head Elementary School.
