State Senator, Pastor to Discuss Faith and Politics at D&E

ELKINS – West Virginia Senator and Presbyterian pastor the Rev. Stephen Baldwin will present a lecture titled “Navigating Faith and Politics” at 7 p.m. Wednesday, November 6 in Halliehurst. Sponsored by the Morrison-Novakovic Center for Faith and Public Policy, the event is free and open to the public.

Baldwin represents the 10th Senatorial District, a position he was appointed to in 2017 and elected to in 2018. He serves on six standing committees – Agriculture and Rural Development, Committee of the Whole, Economic Development, Education, Judiciary and Workforce. He is also a member of nine interim committees. This year, he was the lead sponsor of 23 bills.

Prior to serving in the state Senate, Baldwin represented the 42nd District in the West Virginia House of Delegates and was a member of the Greenbrier County Board of Education. In addition, he is a member of the Presbytery of West Virginia.

Baldwin holds a Master of Divinity degree from Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Queens College.
