Philip Barbour Students Receive Scholarships to Davis & Elkins College

ELKINS – Seven Philip Barbour High School students were awarded scholarships to Davis & Elkins College during the school’s annual awards ceremony. The investment in the students’ futures totals nearly $600,000 over a four-year period. The awards were presented by Davis & Elkins College Director of Student Recruitment and Success Angie Scott, and Enrollment Adviser Megan Walters. As the winner of the fall 2018 Leadership and Scholarship honor, PBHS senior Anna Ruf received the top award – a package valued in excess of $135,000. Additional scholarships were presented to Shelby Collins, Regional Highlands Scholarship and Leadership Scholarship; McKayla Croston, Regional Highlands Scholarship; Sommer Davis, Regional Highlands Scholarship; Kaitlyn Fowler, Regional Highlands Scholarship, Leadership Scholarship, and Girls State Scholarship; Eden Heatherly, Regional Highlands Scholarship; and Maria Mitchell, Regional Highlands Scholarship.
