ELKINS - Davis & Elkins College alumna Susan Krakoff has been appointed Student Life Office Manager for the College.

In this capacity, Krakoff is responsible for providing a variety of services for the Student Life Office and for assisting with the Vice President’s duties. Among the operations most visible to the campus community are issuing student, staff and faculty parking permits and ID cards, and serving as liaison between Student Life and student organizations. Additional aspects of her job include coordinating housing for Augusta participants, updating student contact information, and coordinating shuttle services.

“Susan being a recent graduate of Davis & Elkins College has transitioned well to her new position,” says Vice President for Student Affairs Scott Goddard. “She knows the campus inside and out, and is able to provide top notch customer service to everyone who passes through the Student Life Office. She is a pleasure to have on the Student Life Team.”

As part of its mission statement, the Student Life Team invites individual and collective discovery through relationships, partnerships and collaboration with students, faculty, staff, parents and other members of the community.

“My job allows me to interact with the campus community, and every day it is different, so it keeps me on my toes,” Krakoff says. “I love working with Scott [Goddard], Lowe Del [Aviles], Mandi [Larkin], and Alyssa [Hanna] because we are all very supportive of each other and try to help each other whenever we can.”

A native of Akron, Ohio, Krakoff was the salutatorian of D&E’s class of 2012 and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She spent the summer training as a yoga instructor in India, and currently teaches yoga on campus and in Elkins.

In December, Krakoff was admitted to the Master of Fine Arts Program in Creative Writing at West Virginia Wesleyan College.
