ELKINS – Davis & Elkins College students studying business, marketing and accounting recently learned of career opportunities in the state and federal government. West Virginia State Auditor John B. “JB” McCuskey, along with staff members, told the students that multiple openings for employment are available within their office. McCuskey emphasized that he hopes recent graduates will make the Mountain State their home, and explained that jobs in the Auditor’s Office could lead to long term careers or serve as a springboard into the private sector. The students also heard from DEA Special Agent Jon Green who outlined careers throughout the United States. He said that business, finance and accounting majors are among applicants the agency seeks. D&E Assistant Professor of Accounting Lisa Daniels-Smith arranged for the presentations in a setting that combined students in her accounting classes and those in Professor of Business Dr. Carol Carter’s business strategies class.
