ELKINS - Physical fitness is important at all stages of life. Having access to proper equipment and gaining motivation is the first step in making a difference.
The Robbins-Madden Fitness Center at Davis & Elkins College offers a setting for those wanting to get started on a fitness regime and those looking to improve their range. Located in Hermanson Center, Robbins-Madden Fitness Center is open to the community, now with greater access. Previously, the facility also served D&E student-athletes. However, with recent renovations to the Memorial Gymnasium/Martin Field House, student-athletes have a new, exclusive workout area all their own.
To welcome more community members and help them keep New Year’s resolutions for fitness, the College is offering a 25 percent discount on annual memberships for a limited time. Individuals can join for $120 per year, while families can enjoy workout benefits for $185 per year. Credit and debit cards are accepted.
Robbins-Madden Fitness Center offers an array of machines and gear including treadmills, bikes, ellipticals, strength training equipment, bench presses, free weights, medicine balls, kettle weights, yoga accessories and a cable crossover system. Free weekly fitness classes are also available.
