ELKINS – Booth Library on the campus of Davis & Elkins College is celebrating West Virginia Day Thursday, June 20 with entertainment and a trivia contest. The drop-by event will take place from noon to 2 p.m. on the library bridge.
Event coordinators will provide Appalachian music playing on vinyl records and lead West Virginia trivia games. Trivia winners will receive a pepperoni roll, custom made Booth Library bookmark and have the opportunity to fire a mini cannon.
West Virginia Day commemorates the date the Mountain State was admitted to the Union in 1863 and became a member of the United States.
