Movie Night: A Civil Action

We live in a world that has many conflicting viewpoints, perspectives and agendas. All of these factors can make it difficult to navigate the complex and confusing world we live in. That is why the GreenWorks! club has decided to create a platform everyone can get behind: water! Water is all around us and we interact with different forms of it on a daily basis. Water is also one of the fundamental building blocks for life. However, when water is misused it can lead to contamination which can have disastrous consequences. So, to coincide with the unveiling of our new filtered water bottle filler, GreenWorks! invites you to a movie night to come and see the awful, and sometimes deadly, effects of contaminated water in the blockbuster hit: A Civil Action.

This movie includes:

  • a true and gripping story,
  • an amazing performance by John Travolta,
  • an underdog story of Man v. Corporation and
  • a position everyone can get behind.

Start your weekend off right by giving yourself a fresh take on the idea of having access to clean and safe water. The movie will be shown Friday, February 16 at 5 p.m. in Eshleman Science Center room 412.
