Supporting my alma mater and my hometown.
Director of Development Karen Wilmoth, '83 works closely with alumni and friends of the College to identify, cultivate and nurture relationships and engage them in supporting D&E and its mission. She also oversees the day-to-day operation of the Development Office and serves as the administrator for the Raiser’s Edge database.

Karen has more than 10 years of experience at D&E and 19 years of experience as a paralegal. She also has taught numerous business courses for Marshall University and Fairmont State College.

Karen is very active in the community. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Elkins, which she has served as president and Assistant District Governor, and the Elkins Historic Landmarks Commission, which she currently serves as secretary. She was a member of the Elkins City Council, the GFWC Junior Woman’s Club and the board of directors of Woman’s Aid in Crisis. Karen volunteered for many years with the Mountain State Forest Festival and worked with the Rosenbaum House on a local fundraising committee.
