My relationships with students and watching them develop into successful, fine young men and women who continue to keep in contact with me for years.
Mary Ellen oversees all programming in The Naylor Learning Center. This includes the support of the heightened performance of students and faculty, transformation of the learning experience for students with learning disabilities, and facilitation of greater access to higher education. Related to the College's Supported Learning Program, she works with the Office of Admission on student recruitment; coordinates applications, interviews and interactions; works with parents; develops study skills course curriculum; and provides individualized instruction and support. In addition, Mary Ellen serves as an advocate for students with professors, staff and service providers; provides disability accommodations; and monitors, evaluates and reports on student progress. Mary Ellen recently developed The Naylor Learning Center's Connect Program focusing on academic readiness. She also serves as the adviser for Delta Alpha Pi honor society and as an adjunct professor for aquatic courses.

Mary Ellen has more than 30 years of experience working with children and students in many capacities, such as counseling, educating, supporting and helping to guide them in their future endeavors.
Mary Ellen is certified in conflict resolution, physical restraint, lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR and AED.
Throughout her extensive career in education, Mary Ellen has been nominated as Teacher of the Year in Randolph County.
