Prior to joining the Davis & Elkins College Athletic Department, Reyes served as an athletic trainer with Broward Health Sports Medicine since 2010. During his time with Broward Health, he worked with athletes at Cypress Bay High School, Nova High School and Stoneman Douglas High School, in addition to serving as an athletic training for Major League Soccer combines from 2013-2016. As a member of Broward Health’s cardiac rehabilitation team, Reyes also worked at other sporting events contracted by the organization.
Reyes has completed internships with Fort Lauderdale Orthopedic Surgery & Sports Medicine P.A. and Atlantic Rehabilitation Centers, where he worked with patients undergoing rehabilitation treatments and assisted at a National Football League combine organized by Perfect Competition in Davie, Florida.
Throughout his undergraduate studies, Reyes was a member of the athletic training student staff, working with the baseball, men’s and women’s basketball, football men’s lacrosse, and track and field teams, in addition to competing on the men’s soccer team.
A member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, Reyes is a Licensed Athletic Trainer and holds certifications in ImPACT training for athletic trainers, CPR through the American Heart Association, Basic Life Support for healthcare providers, and administration and leadership in athletic training.
