Registrar; Professor of Mathematics

In her position as registrar, Stephanie provides leadership to plan, organize and manage all activities related to student records and registration, including serving as the official authorized keeper of the College's student records.

In addition to serving the College as registrar, Stephanie is a professor of mathematics. She has taught various mathematics courses, advised mathematics education students, served on various committees, and designed and administered mathematics placement examinations to incoming students at D&E for more than 20 years. Prior to working at D&E, Stephanie worked at West Virginia University.
Stephanie and Dr. Sharmistha Roy, associate provost and professor of mathematics and physics at D&E, were the recipients of the Dwight D. Eisenhower Mathematics and Science ACT (DEMSEA). As part of the grant, they held a two-day workshop for Randolph County mathematics teachers and trained them to use the TI-81 graphics calculator. She and Dr. Roy also conducted “Mathematics by Hands-On Inquiry” workshops for Randolph County mathematics teachers to learn hands-on methods for teaching courses. Stephanie has also served as an instructor for two Math and Science Partnership grants: MATH 33, which is designed to improve mathematics content knowledge for mathematics and special education faculty at the 5-12 level, and Project C Mii, which offers an alternate certification in middle school math and science for current educators. In addition, Stephanie has served on various Faculty Assembly and College Senate committees at D&E.
