No appointment needed, but don't be late!

 

The doctor or PA will arrive and see whomever is waiting. Appointments can be made for family planning visits, but sick visits are on a first-come, first-serve basis. These scheduled hours are subject to change depending on MD and PA availability.

 

If you miss the doctor but feel you need to be seen, you can go to Dr. Khan's office located in the Day's Inn building. His is open Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. ID yourself as a D&E student and they will squeeze you in. The phone number is 304-637-5202. There will be a $45 fee.

 

 

Fees

Nurse visits are FREE to D&E students.

 

There is a $35 fee to see the doctor for sick visits. Family planning visits are FREE.

 

Athletic and employment physicals are $25.

 

 

Flu Shots

The Flu Vaccine is available for D&E students, faculty and staff. The cost is $10 for students and $20 for faculty/staff. It can be charged to the student's account and employees can get an invoice for insurance reimbursement.

 

Who should get a flu shot? 

Everyone who does not have an acute illness, who is not allergic to eggs and has never had a bad reaction to the flu shot in the past. It is especially important for people with asthma, diabetes, heart disease and other chronic illnesses to get the Flu Vaccine.

10:00 a.m. – 12 noon every class day

 

 

 

Elkins Urgent Care Facilities

  • Direct Care of Elkins, 304-636-4585. Located next to Bob Evans.
  • Express Care, 304-637-0180. Located near Elkins Cinema 7. Express Care has X-ray equipment.

 

For Medical Emergencies

In the case of a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the Davis Memorial Hospital Emergency Room. Make sure to tell them you are a D&E student.

 

 

Any service, medication or test with a fee is charged to your student account

- no need to carry cash.
