Bachelor of Science in Economics or Bachelor of Science in Finance

Study in economics includes a broad range of classes committed to presenting a view of the world's major economic systems with a special emphasis on the organization and operation of market economics.

The requirements for a major in Economics consist of 30 semester hours including:

• Economics 105 - Introduction to Macroeconomics
• Economics 106 - Introduction to Microeconomics
• Economics 205 - Intermediate Macroeconomic Theory
• Economics 206 - Intermediate Microeconomic Theory
• Economics 302 - Money and Banking
• Economics 307 - Investments

In addition, 12 semester hours of 200 level or above Economics courses are required. Math 196 is highly recommended.

Davis & Elkins College is celebrated National Entrepreneurship Week with students in Dr. Vicki Mullenex’s Entrepreneurship class and members of D&E’s Students in Free Enterprise club hosting staff from the Small Business Administration.
